Terms of use

1. Who we are

4TheChase is an independent project based in Lausanne, Switzerland. For any request, including the publisher's full identity, write to contact@4thechase.com: we answer within 30 days.

2. The service

4TheChase is a personal memory tool: you record information about people you meet and the app gives it back to you, notably as briefs generated by artificial intelligence. The website lets you leave your address to be notified at launch.

The service is provided "as is", in early access: features may change or be removed.

3. Eligibility

• Be 18 or older.
• Provide an accurate email address, and one that is yours.

4. Acceptable use

You are solely responsible for the information you record about others. You agree to use it with respect for those people and within the law. In particular, you may not:

• use the service to harass, stalk, discriminate against, manipulate or harm anyone;
• record sensitive data about third parties without a legitimate reason;
• attempt to connect the service to third-party apps through unofficial means (scraping, automation, private APIs);
• resell, copy or reverse-engineer the service, or disrupt its operation.

We may remove from the list an address that breaks these rules.

5. AI-generated content

Briefs are generated automatically from your own notes. They may contain errors or approximations. They are a memory aid, not the truth: re-read them, and keep your judgment.

6. Pricing

The website is free. Paid plans (Keeper, Founder's pass) will be offered in the app through App Store and Google Play in-app purchases, at the prices shown at the time of purchase. The stores' terms apply to payments and refunds.

7. Intellectual property

The 4TheChase name, logo, website, app and their contents belong to us. Your notes belong to you: we claim no rights over them and use them only to provide the service.

8. Termination

You can ask for your address to be erased at any time by writing to contact@4thechase.com. We may end the service or your access if you breach these terms, or with reasonable notice if the service is discontinued.

A subscription taken inside the app is cancelled from your Apple or Google account, on the App Store or on Google Play. Neither uninstalling the app nor erasing your data from the app cancels it: billing continues until the store subscription itself is cancelled.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect damages, loss of data stored on your device, and the use you make of the information you record. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The courts of Lausanne have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
